Austin Bashi remains on the UFC Vegas 124 fight card after securing a replacement opponent on just four days’ notice. According to MMA Fighting reporting, Bashi will now face Fury FC featherweight champion Carlos Calderon this Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Fighter Background and Changes
Bashi was originally scheduled to battle Lucas Brennan, but Brennan had to withdraw from the event after suffering a torn ACL, allowing Calderon to step in. Bashi holds a professional record of 14-2 and joined the organization following a 2024 appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series. His promotional tenure has included a loss to Christian Rodriguez, a submission victory over John Yannis, and a decision defeat against Jose Delgado this past July.
Calderon enters his short-notice promotion debut riding a three-fight winning streak and holding a 5-1 record across his last six outings. Nicknamed “The Chief,” he most recently defended his Fury FC championship in October, earning a five-round unanimous decision against Lorram Esteves.

The updated lineup features a main card broadcasting on Paramount+ starting at 8 p.m. ET, including Waldo Cortes-Acosta versus Johnny Walker, Tatiana Suarez versus Virna Jandiroba, Davey Grant versus Elijah Smith, Billy Elekana versus Lucas Fernando, Priscila Cachoeira versus Nina Milosevic, and Mitch Raposo versus Marcos Degli.
The preliminary card, also airing on Paramount+ at 5 p.m. ET, consists of Keiichiro Nakamura versus Ollie Schmid, Karine Silva versus Gabriella Fernandes, Jose Delano versus Murtazali Magomedov, Austin Bashi versus Carlos Calderon, Mantas Kondratavicius versus Andre Petroski, Seokhyon Ko versus Wellington Turman, and Jonny Parsons versus Jose Souza.
