Eight weeks into the 2026 NFL season, Yahoo Sports has released its updated Fantasy Football Power Rankings to evaluate how all 32 teams stand. The league has seen massive shifts and surprises compared to the preseason outlook from early September.
Teams 32 to 21
The Los Angeles Chargers sit at No. 32 after an underwhelming start where offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel’s scheme fell flat and Justin Herbert lost momentum. The Tennessee Titans are No. 31, where Cam Ward’s sophomore campaign has lacked explosive plays. The Indianapolis Colts dropped to No. 30 due to poor offensive planning and injuries, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 29 as Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley battle injuries.
The Washington Commanders rank 28th following offensive line troubles and a season-ending injury to Terry McLaurin. The Miami Dolphins hold the 27th spot, with Malik Willis showing recent passing progress. The New Orleans Saints rank 26th, hampered by a sluggish first-quarter scoring record. The Denver Broncos sit at No. 25 after regression from Bo Nix.
The Baltimore Ravens occupy the 24th spot, reeling from a potentially season-ending injury to Lamar Jackson and a 4-4 record. The Cleveland Browns are No. 23, where Deshaun Watson continues to take too many sacks. The Minnesota Vikings rank 22nd amid questions over Kyler Murray’s performance. The Pittsburgh Steelers round out this tier at No. 21, credited with competent play from Aaron Rodgers.
Teams 20 to 11
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers check in at No. 20, leading a competitive NFC South behind a strong ground game and an underrated defense. The Houston Texans sit at No. 19, where the defense has been leaky despite solid play from C.J. Stroud. The Arizona Cardinals are No. 18, leaning heavily on Trey McBride for target share.
The Carolina Panthers rank 17th as Bryce Young experienced some regression. The Las Vegas Raiders take the 16th spot, fueled by rookie Mike Washington Jr. taking over the backfield workload. The New York Giants sit at No. 15, boosted by Malik Nabers justifying his draft value and J.J. McCarthy settling in. The Seattle Seahawks rank 14th, driven by the unstoppable Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
The New England Patriots occupy the 13th spot after Drake Maye staged a strong comeback following a rough start. The Kansas City Chiefs are No. 12, with Kenneth Walker III taking immediate control of the backfield. The New York Jets land at No. 11, where Geno Smith has exceeded expectations and provided plenty of offensive firepower.
Teams 10 to 1
The Atlanta Falcons rank 10th, led by Michael Penix Jr. and Bijan Robinson. The Los Angeles Rams sit at No. 9, transforming into a more methodical fantasy unit despite Puka Nacua’s dominance. The Jacksonville Jaguars are No. 8, looking forward to a favorable second-half schedule for Trevor Lawrence. The Dallas Cowboys rank 7th, frequently involved in high-scoring games due to a struggling defense.
The San Francisco 49ers hold the 6th spot as current Super Bowl favorites, though their wide receiver room is banged up. The Green Bay Packers jump to No. 5, keeping the deep passing game alive through Jordan Love and his targets. The Buffalo Bills rank 4th, anchored by the elite fantasy weapon Josh Allen and a healthy DJ Moore.
The Cincinnati Bengals sit at No. 3, with Joe Burrow playing at an MVP level. The Chicago Bears are No. 2, humming along after overcoming early-season bumps. Finally, the Detroit Lions claim the No. 1 spot, maintaining their preseason expectations with star talent across every position and a favorable schedule.
