NFL Trade Rumors: Giants Eyeing Former RB Justice Hill

The Baltimore Ravens have not traded any players ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline, but they have drawn interest from other teams as they sit at the bottom of the AFC North. One inquiry came from the franchise led by their former coach.

Giants Inquire About Justice Hill

According to ESPN, the front office for New York Giants coach John Harbaugh reached out regarding a potential trade for Ravens ballcarrier Justice Hill. No agreement has been finalized, and it remains uncertain how open the Ravens were to the proposal.

Hill has spent seven years as the second option behind star Derrick Henry in Baltimore, representing a remarkably long tenure for a non-starting player with a single club. With nearly all of those seasons played under Harbaugh, the coach’s familiarity with him is clear. Reports indicate the Giants did not pursue Henry, whom Baltimore reportedly has no interest in trading, keeping Hill as the preferred target to strengthen a fluctuating backfield.

Backfield Situation in New York

New York relies primarily on Cam Skattebo, who is currently dealing with a hamstring injury and previously faced a one-week benching after struggling with fumbles during the first half of the season. The team has utilized a running back committee including Najee Harris, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Devin Singletary. However, Harris is no longer on the roster, Tracy is on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, and Singletary ranks fourth on the team in carries, meaning any incoming player would likely assume the No. 2 role.

Should the Giants complete a deal for Hill, he would add to a substantial group of players who followed Harbaugh from Baltimore to New York. The coach brought seven former Ravens players with him when he took over the Giants prior to the 2026 season: tight end Isaiah Likely, fullback Patrick Ricard, safety Ar’Darius Washington, linebacker Malik Harrison, defensive tackle Basil Okoye, defensive tackle Josh Tupou, and punter Jordan Stout.

During his time under Harbaugh, Hill averaged 209.2 rushing yards per season and scored eight rushing touchdowns while operating primarily as a passing-down back alongside Henry, adding five receiving scores over that span.
