The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a commanding 42-7 victory against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, capitalizing on an opponent that had recently traded away two cornerstone players. The dominant performance could push the Colts to further dismantle their roster for a complete rebuild.
CBS Sports Grades the Jaguars Performance
Following the game, John Breech of CBS Sports awarded the Jaguars a top-tier “A” grade in his weekly report card series. According to Breech, running back Bayshul Tuten delivered his long-awaited breakout performance by rushing for over 100 yards with a touchdown, alongside 55 receiving yards and another score. Breech noted that this production justified the team’s decision to let Travis Etienne depart in free agency.
On the defensive side, Breech highlighted that the team returned from its bye week with intense energy, pressuring quarterback Daniel Jones for three sacks. Rayuan Lane III contributed significantly by returning an interception 92 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, effectively sealing the outcome before halftime. The comfortable lead allowed Jacksonville to rest multiple starters in the final quarter ahead of a short turnaround for a Thursday night matchup.
