Lamar Jackson’s return to the field for the Baltimore Ravens lasted just a single play before a new injury forced him out.
Early Injury Forces Quarterback Out
The two-time MVP quarterback returned to action after missing the previous three games due to an ankle injury. However, he sustained an apparent right hand injury on the team’s very first play from scrimmage on Sunday, Nov. 1, against the Buffalo Bills.
Jackson left the field in visible pain while holding his right hand. The incident occurred when he faced pressure in the pocket and threw an incompletion to his right. As he released the ball, two Bills defenders hit him. Although he stayed on his feet, Jackson immediately reacted to his hand and jogged toward the sideline.
Jackson had previously been sidelined by an ankle sprain suffered during the first half of Baltimore’s Week 4 matchup.
