Caleb Williams delivered an efficient and composed performance during a road victory against Seattle on Monday Night Football, playing well within a hostile environment against a strong defensive unit.
Performance and System Comfort
Williams appeared increasingly comfortable operating within Ben Johnson’s offensive scheme during the matchup. He excelled at executing high-percentage throws while strategically incorporating downfield attempts throughout the game.
Fantasy Outlook and Upcoming Matchup
While his execution on the field was solid, the performance did not yield significant fantasy appeal. A primary concern for fantasy managers centers on his rushing production, which has largely diminished since his return from injury, totaling just 22 combined rushing yards over the previous three games.
Williams faces another difficult test in Week 9 as the Chicago Bears return home to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football. Currently functioning as a midrange or low-end quarterback one, he maintains fringe starting appeal heading into the matchup against Tampa Bay.
