Transfer Radar for Varela and Sarr

Arsenal and Napoli are showing strong interest in Monza’s 21-year-old Portuguese forward Gustavo Varela, alongside his former club Benfica. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are hesitant to part ways with 28-year-old Senegal winger Ismaila Sarr in January, having already held discussions regarding a new contract following his previous summer interest in joining Liverpool.

Defenders Draw Elite Attention

Brighton and Croatia defender Luka Vuskovic, 19, continues to attract serious attention from top European clubs, with Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona entering the race for the centre-back. Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund’s 26-year-old Germany midfielder Felix Nmecha is highly regarded by Liverpool, though he is not currently viewed as a priority transfer target.

Managerial and Squad Developments

Former Newcastle manager Eddie Howe could demand his entire backroom staff if Manchester United approach him regarding their managerial vacancy. Securing Howe would require Manchester United to pay a £6m compensation fee to Newcastle under the terms of his St James’ Park departure. Crystal Palace are also considering alternatives should they dismiss manager Pierre Sage, with former Brentford and Tottenham boss Thomas Frank and ex-Burnley, Everton and Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche emerging as leading contenders.

Bournemouth owner Bill Foley has approved another club-record contract offer for 23-year-old England midfielder Alex Scott, drawing monitoring interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham. Additionally, Manchester United have been informed they must pay over £70m to secure Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall, 22, while Ajax plan a permanent move for 25-year-old Wolves and Nigeria striker Tolu Arokodare, who is currently playing on loan at the Eredivisie club.
