Bucs vs. Falcons Week 8 Injury Report Released

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons released their opening injury reports on Wednesday ahead of their Week 8 matchup. Three Buccaneers players missed practice completely, while two others were limited.

Buccaneers Health Updates

Tampa Bay listed running back Kenny Gainwell (hip), offensive tackle Luke Goedeke (calf), and linebacker Josiah Trotter (illness) as non-participants to start the week. Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, who is dealing with foot and concussion issues, was a limited participant alongside outside linebacker Yaya Diaby (illness).

On a positive note for the Buccaneers, quarterback Baker Mayfield (right thumb) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib) practiced fully on Wednesday. Mayfield previously returned to action during Tampa Bay’s 43-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers last week.

Falcons Health Updates

The Falcons also had several players sit out Wednesday’s session. Defensive back Billy Bowman Jr. (hamstring), linebacker Divine Deablo (forearm), and running back Brian Robinson (hamstring) did not practice, while defensive end Za’Darius Smith was held out for rest.

Atlanta had six players listed as limited participants: defensive end Samson Ebukam (hamstring), defensive linemen LaCale London (chest) and Charles Snowden (back), offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (hamstring), cornerback Avieon Terrell (illness), and wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus (shoulder). Meanwhile, wide receiver Beaux Collins (hip) and offensive tackle Cameron Williams (ankle) were full participants.

Both teams will evaluate their players through Thursday’s session before assigning final injury statuses on Friday. The Buccaneers (2-5) host the Falcons (3-4) on Sunday, November 1, at Raymond James Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
