San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is planning to return to the team Friday following a yearslong separation from the franchise, according to his representative.

Agent Update on the Return

Agent Drew Rosenhaus informed ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Aiyuk intends to report to the 49ers facility on Friday afternoon. Rosenhaus stated that they will be present at 3 p.m. to meet with the team at the facility and put their best foot forward to see how things proceed.

Rosenhaus additionally told Schefter on Thursday that the wide receiver is healthy and ready to get back on the field.

Contract Status and Background

Aiyuk remains under contract with the organization through the 2028 season, though he has not participated in any NFL games since October 2024. Over the past year, the player has frequently used social media posts to demand that the 49ers release him from his current contract.
