Bournemouth Beat Sparta Prague 3-1 in Europa League

Bournemouth maintained their perfect record in the Europa League league phase by coming from behind to secure a 3-1 victory against 10-man Sparta Prague. Ebrima Singhateh opened the scoring for the Czech hosts in the first half, but a red card for Tobias Guddal turned the match in favor of Marco Rose’s side.

First-Half Struggles and Red Card

As reported by 101 Great Goals, the visitors endured a frustrating opening period when Lewis Cook missed a penalty in the 30th minute. Sparta Prague capitalized shortly after, with Singhateh breaking the deadlock in the 35th minute to give his side the lead despite earlier opportunities for Bournemouth. However, the game shifted significantly in the 37th minute when Guddal picked up his second yellow card, reducing the hosts to 10 players for the remainder of the fixture.

Late Comeback Secures Victory

Bournemouth intensified their attacking pressure after the interval and found a breakthrough in the 57th minute when Tyler Adams scored the equalizing goal. Sparta Prague attempted to withstand the sustained pressure, but the English side eventually broke through with nine minutes of regular time remaining. Evanilson found the back of the net in the 81st minute to complete the turnaround and put the Premier League side ahead for the first time in the match.

With the hosts forced to push forward in search of a late equalizer, Bournemouth sealed the result in stoppage time through Rayan, securing their fourth successive victory in the competition.
