Misfits Boxing co-founder Kalle Sauerland announced that his promotion submitted a written offer to Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White and Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn to step into the ring against each other.
Misfits Boxing Offer Details
According to an interview with IFL TV reported by Sherdog.com, Sauerland stated that Misfits is nearing an agreement on terms with Hearn, though White has not yet committed to the bout. Sauerland adjusted his original proposal from a $20 million winner-takes-all stake to a direct $10 million offer.
Sauerland explained to IFL TV as quoted by Sherdog.com, “A lot of people asked me if it’s bulls**t and I said, ‘No it’s not, I’ll pay $20 million for that’ so we put it in writing to Dana and Eddie, called Eddie and actually with Eddie, we’re not far off, I think he’d confirm that if you ask him on the terms.”
Sauerland added, as noted by Sherdog.com, “I’m not gonna lean out the boat because I’ve not totally tied it up with Eddie but we’re close with Eddie and Dana has had it in writing. And I changed it too from a $20 million winner takes all to a $10 million straight offer now.”
Rivalry and Background Context
Sauerland floated the idea of hosting the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the evening following the Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua fight, while noting that terms with Hearn remain unfinalized.
Throughout 2026, White and Hearn have exchanged verbal jabs publicly, stemming partly from their involvement in promoting and producing the Fury-Joshua bout. Hearn recently expressed readiness for a public debate with White, while White voiced annoyance regarding continuous inquiries about their feud.
