Harry Wilson is back in the Wales squad for their upcoming Nations League fixtures against Norway and Portugal. The team has also handed a first senior call-up to young goalkeeper Joe Duncan.

Squad Changes and Returnees

Wilson has established himself as a key player for Wales in recent years, but injuries have kept the Leeds United attacking midfielder sidelined from international duty since March. His club team-mate, centre-back Joe Rodon, also makes a return to the squad despite not playing since suffering a hamstring injury in August. Meanwhile, Cardiff City playmaker Rubin Colwill has earned a recall, though fellow midfielder Jordan James misses out after sustaining an injury while playing for Wolves against Cardiff.

The sole new face in the squad is 20-year-old goalkeeper Joe Duncan, currently on loan at National League club Southend United from Championship side Bristol City. Born in Bristol and qualifying for Wales through his Cardiff-born maternal grandfather, Duncan has previously played for the Wales Under-21 side and steps into the senior setup in place of Everton back-up Tom King.

Nations League Campaign and Fixtures

Craig Bellamy’s side is fighting to maintain its status in the top tier of the Nations League. Wales currently sits third in Group A4, having secured their only victory from four matches against World Cup quarter-finalists Norway in Cardiff last month. With two matches remaining, Wales can still finish anywhere from second to fourth in the group.

Securing a top-two finish would advance Wales to the Nations League quarter-finals in March 2027. Finishing third would send the squad into a relegation play-off against a League B team in March, while finishing at the bottom of the group could lead to direct relegation or another relegation play-off depending on rankings across League A groups.

Wales will travel to face Norway at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on Saturday, 14 November, before concluding their group campaign at home against Portugal at the Cardiff City Stadium the following Tuesday.
