Jim Harbaugh Stands by Staff Despite Chargers Falling to 0-7

The Los Angeles Chargers continued their difficult season on Sunday, dropping to an 0-7 record following a 24-9 defeat against the Los Angeles Rams.

Offensive Struggles and Coaching Decisions

The team’s offense struggled once more during the matchup, managing only 64 rushing yards and failing to score a touchdown. Despite the ongoing offensive problems, head coach Jim Harbaugh stated after the game that he intends to keep offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel in his position.

Quarterback Performance and Season Outlook

Harbaugh also addressed the recent difficulties faced by quarterback Justin Herbert. During the contest, Herbert threw two interceptions, bringing his total to 10 picks through the first seven games of the season.

Addressing his turnover struggles to reporters, Herbert said, “That’s part of the game… I’d love to have played better and made better decisions, but I haven’t.”

The offensive frustrations were encapsulated late in the first half when Ladd McConkey caught a Hail Mary that deflected off Quentin Johnston’s hands, coming up inches short of the end zone.

The Chargers will look to find answers as they prepare for their next matchup.
