Stamkos Leads Predators to 3-1 Win Over Blues

Steven Stamkos recorded a goal and an assist alongside 25 saves from Juuse Saros to guide the Nashville Predators to a 3-1 victory against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee.

Game Scoring and Highlights

Ross Colton and Nick Perbix also found the back of the net for Nashville, while Roman Josi contributed a pair of assists. For the Blues, Jimmy Snuggerud scored the opening goal and goaltender Joel Hofer stopped 26 shots, though the team suffered its third consecutive loss.

Snuggerud put St. Louis on the board first at 13:07 of the opening period during a power play. He beat Saros with a powerful one-timer from the lower part of the left faceoff circle to notch his team-leading ninth goal of the season. Entering the matchup, Nashville boasted the NHL’s third-best penalty kill at 90 percent and had successfully killed all opponent power plays over their previous seven games.

Stamkos tied the game 1-1 with 3:53 left in the first period, also capitalizing on a power play. This milestone goal marked the 248th power-play tally of Stamkos’ career, moving him into sole possession of fifth place on the all-time NHL list for man-advantage goals.

Nashville took the lead at 9:02 of the second period when Colton fired a wrist shot from the high slot over Hofer’s glove. Colton extended his scoring streak to three straight games, matching a career high, while Predators captain Josi pushed his recent point total to five across his last three appearances. Perbix secured the win by scoring an empty-net goal with 1:29 remaining in the contest for his second goal in three games.

The Blues will return to action on Tuesday to host Detroit, while the Predators will travel to play the Los Angeles Kings on the same day.
