The National Football League’s late-afternoon window on Sundays continues to deliver massive television audiences for broadcasters.
Week 7 Ratings for Fox
For Week 7, the game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions broadcast on Fox averaged 24.67 million viewers. Although this figure fell slightly short of the Sunday night audience of 26.3 million that tuned in for the Chiefs and Seahawks, it still represents a substantial viewership total.
The bi-weekly Fox broadcast slot at 4:25 p.m. ET is currently averaging 24.749 million viewers across the first seven weeks of the 2026 NFL season.
Upcoming Broadcast Schedule
CBS will handle the late-afternoon broadcast, featuring a Denver rematch of the Week 1 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos. With the Chiefs holding a 5-1 record and the Broncos sitting at 5-2, the matchup is expected to perform very strongly in the ratings.
The early window is also projected to draw robust numbers. That slate features the 5-2 Cleveland Browns visiting the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers, the 4-3 Baltimore Ravens taking on the 5-1 Buffalo Bills, and the 6-0 Minnesota Vikings facing the 4-2 Detroit Lions.
