Micah Parsons Begins Practice Return for Packers

The Green Bay Packers have officially opened the 21-day practice window for star edge-rusher Micah Parsons. The three-time First Team All-Pro is working his way back to the field after suffering a torn ACL and meniscus during a game against the Denver Broncos last December.

Managing Expectations for Return

Speaking with Matt Schneidman of The Athletic on Wednesday, Parsons acknowledged that he might not immediately perform at his usual elite standard upon his return. He noted that he is currently focused on regaining his conditioning and ensuring his body is prepared for the rigors of game action.

This cautious outlook is expected, as Parsons has been sidelined since December 14, 2025. Before the injury, he was in the midst of a dominant 2025 campaign, recording 12.5 sacks, 41 tackles, and 27 quarterback hits across 14 appearances. Even after missing the final three games of the regular season, his performance was strong enough to earn him First Team All-Pro recognition and a third-place finish in the Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year voting.

Timeline for Activation

The Packers now have a three-week period to officially activate Parsons to the active roster. While he continues to ramp up his activity, he could potentially be available for the team’s Thanksgiving Eve matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on November 25. Before that contest, Green Bay is scheduled to face the New England Patriots on the road and the Minnesota Vikings at home.

Throughout his five-season career, Parsons has established himself as one of the league’s most impactful defenders, accumulating 65 sacks and 139 quarterback hits. He has finished in the top three of the Defensive Player of the Year race four times. As the 5-3 Packers look to secure a playoff spot and compete for the NFC North title, the team hopes to see him return to that high level of play before the season concludes.
