Lando Norris revealed that Lewis Hamilton’s impressive tally of seven Formula 1 world titles has left him unsatisfied with winning just one. Norris secured his first championship in 2025 following an intense battle against McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri and a late-season challenge from Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.
Reflecting on Hamilton’s Career at Interlagos
Speaking to the media at Interlagos ahead of Hamilton’s 400th grand prix start in Brazil, Norris shared his thoughts on his fellow countryman’s remarkable career. Norris praised Hamilton’s longevity and his ability to remain competitive at the highest level against top-tier drivers like Charles Leclerc.
Norris noted that Leclerc is easily one of the quickest drivers on the grid and commended Hamilton for continuing to give him a strong fight. He added that Hamilton has appeared to return to his usual form this year, consistently battling at the front of the pack and proving his status among the elite.
Championship Ambitions and Future Outlook
The 2025 champion stated that Hamilton serves as an inspiration for many drivers on the grid, though he personally doubts he will continue racing into his 40s. While acknowledging that he was initially happy with a single title, watching Hamilton altered his perspective.
Norris explained that seeing Hamilton perform at his age and in top form makes him believe more strongly in his own ability to fight for championships for many years to come.
