Ferrari arrived at the Brazil weekend facing questions over an intra-team incident between Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in Mexico. Leclerc stated that the two drivers addressed the situation and put the matter behind them.
Clearing the Air After Mexico
The paddock heavily discussed the clash between the Ferrari teammates from the previous race. Team Principal Fred Vasseur addressed the situation on Friday, while Leclerc confirmed that he and Hamilton had spoken to resolve the issue.
He said: “We’ve spoken, I think everything is settled and I’m looking forward for the rest of the weekend now.”
A Special Week Off the Track
The discussions between the teammates were delayed because Leclerc had to travel back to Monaco. His wife gave birth to their first child during the week, resulting in a late arrival for the driver in Brazil.
“It’s definitely the most special thing ever,” he reflected on the birth of his daughter. “You kind of expect it because I’ve always wanted to be a young dad, and with Alex we obviously felt it was the right time.”
“It’s a very, very special moment and definitely a week I’ll forever remember for all the positive reasons. Of course, there’s been other things going on as well but for me this week was all about Bianca, and it’s been incredible.”
