Recent District Victories

The Timberwolves secured at least a share of the District 24-6A championship by defeating East View 26-13. Meanwhile, the Raiders triumphed over rival Stony Point with a score of 68-29, and the Texans overcame Lago Vista 27-7 to seize control of District 14-4A Division II.

Week 10 presents what may be the game of the year in the Austin area, as Westlake welcomes Cedar Ridge in a matchup between the top two teams in Class 6A, serving essentially as the District 25 championship game.

Class 6A Rankings

Westlake (7-1) claims the top spot after an impressive 38-17 victory against Lake Travis in the “Battle of the Lakes,” rising from second place last week. Cedar Ridge (8-0) follows in second, holding the opportunity to continue their strong season against Westlake after previously ranking first. Cedar Park (9-0) sits in third and can complete a perfect regular season when they face Vista Ridge. Round Rock (6-2) holds fourth place following a 49-7 rout of McNeil, though they close out with games against Lake Travis and Cedar Ridge. Lake Travis (3-3-1) rounds out the top five, with their upcoming match against Round Rock likely determining the district’s top Division I playoff seed.

Class 5A Rankings

Weiss (6-2) leads the 5A division, preparing to face rival Hendrickson following a 49-21 win over Killeen. Anderson (6-2) stays second after an explosive offensive performance resulted in a 63-50 shootout victory against Manor. Bastrop (4-4) ranks third after shutting out Navarro 65-0 to return to an even record. Liberty Hill (5-4) occupies the fourth spot, entering a bye week after defeating Long Creek 58-28. Legacy Ranch (5-3) holds fifth place as they prepare to face a strong Alamo Heights team following their own bye week.

Class 4A and Others Rankings

Wimberley (7-0) tops the 4A and others classification, with a chance to clinch a share of the district title in their game against Manor New Tech. Regents (7-1) takes second place as they conclude their regular season against San Antonio Christian. Thorndale (8-0) sits in third ahead of a showdown against fellow unbeaten team Rosebud-Lott. Jarrell (7-1) ranks fourth following a respectable effort in a 42-20 defeat against defending state champion Stephenville. Lago Vista (6-2) is fifth, looking to rebound from their loss to Wimberley when they play Giddings.
