When the New Orleans Saints host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, defensive end Cam Jordan will achieve a rare milestone in his professional football career. As reported by sports.yahoo.com using research from NBC Sports, this upcoming game marks his 250th appearance.
Joining an Exclusive NFL Club
Jordan will become only the third defensive player in NFL history to play 250 or more games with a single franchise. The only other players to reach this distinction are Darrell Green, who appeared in 295 games for Washington between 1983 and 2002, and Jim Marshall, who logged 270 games for the Minnesota Vikings from 1961 through 1979.
A Decorated Career
Selected as a first-round draft pick in 2011, Jordan is the son of former Vikings tight end Steve Jordan, who played 176 games from 1982 to 1994. Throughout his career, Cam Jordan has earned eight Pro Bowl selections and accumulated 132.0 career sacks, currently placing him 22nd on the all-time list.
