Northamptonshire has completed the signing of wicketkeeper-batter Finlay Bean on a three-year contract from Yorkshire.
Career Background at Yorkshire
The 24-year-old developed through the academy system at the White Rose, accumulating 2,649 runs in 48 first-class appearances. In addition to his red-ball contributions, he added 517 runs for the county across 30 List A matches.
Bean participated in the One-Day Cup fixtures for Yorkshire during the closing stages of the previous season. However, his red-ball campaign concluded in the second team after his final County Championship appearance took place in May.
Coaching Reaction and Expectations
Northamptonshire head coach Darren Lehmann stated that the player had captured the attention of the Division Two club for some time. As reported by the club website, Lehmann expressed his satisfaction regarding the long-term agreement.
Bean will now begin preparations to integrate into the squad ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
