Betting Odds and Projections
According to CBS Sports Headlines, the SportsLine Projection Model sees strong value in the Seahawks covering the 3-point spread as home favorites, with the Over/Under for total points set at 46.5. The model simulates every NFL game 10,000 times and entered Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season on a 58-51 run on top-rated picks dating back to 2024. Combining the Seahawks -3, D’Andre Swift Under 60.5 rushing yards, and Caleb Williams Over 228.5 passing yards into a same-game parlay creates a +350 payout.
The defending Super Bowl champions enter this matchup after limiting Patrick Mahomes to three points in a 20-3 victory against Kansas City. Holding the No. 3 scoring defense by allowing 17.9 points per game alongside the fewest total yards allowed, Seattle maintains an 11-3 home record since the start of last season. The model projects the Seahawks to cover the spread in 61% of simulations.
Expert Player Prop Insights
SportsLine expert Todd Fuhrman offered analysis on the Chicago backfield, noting that with Kyle Monangai sidelined, D’Andre Swift will see volume, but facing Seattle’s run fits presents a challenge. Fuhrman expects Swift to fall under 60.5 rushing yards, stating, “He needs 15+ carries to reach this threshold, and I don’t see it happening.”
Conversely, SportsLine expert Micah Roberts expressed confidence in the Chicago quarterback, backing Caleb Williams to exceed 228.5 passing yards. Roberts highlighted Williams’ strong road statistics, noting his 574 passing yards and 118.8 quarterback rating away from home, adding that the player will not be intimidated by the Seattle defense or crowd.
