2026 NFL Trade Deadline: Mac Jones and Kirk Cousins Top QB Targets

The 2026 NFL trade deadline on Nov. 10 approaches with teams already making major moves, including the Chicago Bears trading for Jeffery Simmons and the Seattle Seahawks acquiring Quenton Nelson. While much of the focus has centered on pass rushers, running backs, and wide receivers, the quarterback market could also heat up as several franchises search for signal callers following injuries and struggles.

Quarterbacks Ranks 10 to 6

Joe Milton III of the Philadelphia Eagles sits at No. 10. Milton backs up Tanner McKee after Jalen Hurts was sidelined with blood clots, and general manager Howie Roseman could view moving Milton as a chance to gain Day 3 draft capital. At No. 9, 38-year-old Case Keenum has recent starting experience with Chicago, impressing in a Week 3 win over Philadelphia before a tougher outing in Week 5.

Andy Dalton ranks No. 8 after recently joining a crowded Atlanta Falcons quarterback room that includes Michael Penix Jr., Tua Tagovailoa, and Jack Strand. Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts takes the No. 7 spot as the rebuilding team dismantles its roster following his benching. Jameis Winston comes in at No. 6; now backing up J.J. McCarthy in New York, the veteran struggled with a diminished arm strength after starting the year 2-1-1.

Quarterbacks Ranks 5 to 1

Gardner Minshew is listed at No. 5 after helping lead the Arizona Cardinals to an overtime win over Dallas, though rookie Carson Beck waits in the wings. His former teammate Jacoby Brissett ranks No. 4, having been benched for Minshew after posting a 3-5 record across the first eight games. Tyson Bagent of the Chicago Bears takes No. 3, serving as an intriguing trade chip at age 26 with Caleb Williams returning to health.

Kirk Cousins of the Las Vegas Raiders claims the No. 2 spot. His availability depends on rookie Fernando Mendoza’s development, but his strong performance with 19 passing touchdowns and a 101.4 passer rating makes him an appealing option for a team like the Baltimore Ravens. Finally, Mac Jones of the San Francisco 49ers sits at No. 1. While it remains unlikely the 49ers will move their elite backup, Jones would top the wish list for any club seeking a major splash.
