Welterweight contender Sean Brady has withdrawn from his scheduled main event bout against Gabriel Bonfim at UFC Vegas 124 due to an injury.
Fighter Withdrawal and Replacement Search
The event is slated to take place at the Meta APEX on Nov. 7. Sources confirmed the withdrawal to MMA Fighting on Thursday, following an initial report by Laerte Viana on Twitter.
The specific nature of the injury forcing Brady out of the matchup remains undisclosed. The UFC is currently working to find a short-notice replacement opponent to step in against Bonfim.
Divisional Impact and Event Lineup
Brady enters the setback holding a 19-2 professional record, having secured a dominant victory over Joaquin Buckley in his most recent appearance. Bonfim holds a 20-1 record and enters the event on a five-fight winning streak, which includes a win over former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad.
The UFC Vegas 124 fight card currently features a strawweight co-main event matching Tatiana Suarez against Virna Jandiroba.
