England players Zoe Harrison and Megan Jones have been named among the four nominees for the World Rugby Women’s 15s Player of the Year award. The pair are joined on the shortlist by Canada’s DaLeaka Menin and New Zealand’s Kaipo Olsen-Baker for the honor celebrating standout performances throughout the 2026 season.
Player Achievements and Nominations
Fly-half Harrison, 28, contributed 88 points from kicking duties for England over the course of the year. Red Roses captain Jones, 30, secures her second consecutive nomination after finishing behind Canada’s Sophie de Goede for the accolade in 2025.
The duo played crucial parts in helping England secure their eighth consecutive Women’s Six Nations title in May. That success formed part of a 41-match unbeaten streak that was recently halted by consecutive losses to Canada.
Upcoming Announcement and Try Shortlist
The recipient of the award will be revealed after the conclusion of the WXV Global Series matches this weekend, with England scheduled to play against the United States on Friday at 21:15 GMT.
Additionally, England’s Abi Burton received a nomination for the Women’s 15s Try of the Year for her score against Australia during the WXV Global Series in September.
