Sports fans have a busy slate of matchups on Friday, Oct. 30, highlighted by marquee NBA games and a partial college football schedule. As reported by CBS Sports Headlines, bettors and viewers can choose from several high-profile games across both sports.

Knicks at 76ers

The New York Knicks face the Philadelphia 76ers at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m. ET on Prime Video. New York enters the matchup as a slight 1.5-point favorite. The teams open NBA Cup group play a little more than a week after meeting on opening night, when Philadelphia secured a 106-100 victory.

The Knicks have won back-to-back games after starting the season 0-3. David Bearman noted via SportsLine that New York has just three players scoring in double figures and will miss Jose Alvarado due to an ankle injury. Bearman added, “The 76ers have the third-best defense in the league and have held four of five opponents Under their implied total,” leading him to pick the Knicks Under 114.5 Total Points at -115. Meanwhile, the SportsLine Projection Model gives a ‘B’ grade to the Knicks -1.5 with a 62% chance to cover.

Lakers at Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers visit the Golden State Warriors at 10 p.m. ET in San Francisco, with coverage broadcast on Prime Video. Golden State rookie Yaxel Lendeborg has emerged as a standout, recording at least 24 combined points and assists in his last four games and rising to second in Rookie of the Year odds at +280. Doug “Prop Bet Guy” Kralstein told SportsLine, “The rookie has seen his usage rate skyrocket as the Warriors are enabling him to run the offense, allowing Steph Curry to play more off-ball.” Kralstein selected Yaxel Lendeborg Over 21.5 Total Points plus Assists at -118, while the SportsLine Projection Model gives the Lakers a 58% chance to cover as 2.5-point favorites.

Tulane at Charlotte

In college football action, Tulane plays Charlotte at 7 p.m. ET at Charlotte, broadcast on ESPN2 and streamed on Fubo. The 49ers snapped a 15-game losing streak two weeks ago against Temple behind quarterback Conner Harrell, who completed 23 of 31 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns. Tom Fornelli told SportsLine regarding his pick, “Charlotte is not a very good team, but it picked up its first win of the year in its last game, and is home off a bye this week against a Tulane team that’s been disappointing,” taking Charlotte at +10.5. The SportsLine Projection Model disagrees, assigning an ‘A’ grade to Tulane -8.5 with a 68% chance to cover against a Green Wave defense ranking 122nd nationally by allowing 416.3 total yards per game.

Baylor at UCF

Baylor meets UCF in Orlando, Florida, at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and Fubo. UCF enters after a victory over No. 2 BYU last week, while Baylor lost 25-24 at Kansas following a blocked game-winning field goal, prompting the program to fire coach Dave Aranda after over six seasons. UCF averages 44.3 points per game at home, ranking 15th in the country. The SportsLine Projection Model assigns an ‘A’ grade to the Over 48.5 total, estimating a 63.1% chance that both teams combine for 49 points or more.

Kent State at Sacramento State

Kent State plays Sacramento State at 10:30 p.m. ET in Sacramento on ESPN2 and Fubo. Mike Tierney noted via SportsLine that Kent State has lost all four road starts this year by a combined 183-12 score, including a 38-7 defeat at Western Michigan. Tierney stated, “To be sure, the Hornets are a bottom dweller in the FBS hierarchy, yet no way Kent should be spotting double digits this far away from home — and this late at night,” selecting Sacramento State at +10. The SportsLine Projection Model gives a ‘B’ grade to Sacramento State +7.5 with a 67% chance to cover.
