Lewis Hamilton reaches a milestone of 400 Formula 1 starts at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Alongside his record-breaking racing career, the seven-time World Champion has established himself as a prominent cultural figure through ventures in music, video games, fashion, and film.
Rapping Under a Pseudonym
Hamilton has spent over a decade writing and recording music as a creative outlet. In 2018, he featured under the pseudonym XNDA on Christina Aguilera’s song “Pipe” from her album Liberation. Hamilton officially confirmed his contribution via Instagram in 2020, explaining that he initially used a different name so listeners would judge the music without knowing his identity, while expressing gratitude to Aguilera for the opportunity.
Video Game Cameos and Skins
Beyond the official EA Sports F1 franchise, Hamilton has appeared in several major gaming titles. In 2023, Fortnite introduced a playable skin of the British driver alongside his British bulldog Roscoe. A decade prior, he made a cameo appearance in the 2016 game Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as an electro-technical engineer named Carl Hamilton, after having his face scanned for the role alongside actor Kit Harington and David Hasselhoff.
Launching a Trading Card Venture
Hamilton turned his childhood hobby of trading football cards into a business by launching Card Culture by Lewis Hamilton in partnership with Dave & Adam’s Card World. The first flagship store opened in Frankfurt, Germany, in July, with further expansion planned across Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia. As a collector himself, a rare autographed Topps card featuring Hamilton sold for over $1 million in December 2024, marking a first for a Formula 1 trading card.
A Respected Figure in Fashion
Known for his distinct paddock style, Hamilton has expanded his presence in the fashion industry over the years. In May 2025, he served as one of the co-chairs for the Met Gala in New York alongside Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour, and appeared on the cover of Vogue’s May issue. Hamilton has also partnered with major brands, serving as a Dior menswear ambassador and guest designer, as well as lululemon’s inaugural motorsport ambassador.
Venture into Hollywood Producing
Hamilton’s passion for storytelling led him to Hollywood as a producer for F1: The Movie, working alongside director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. He participated in early script reviews, team meetings with Apple and Formula 1, and casting processes. Hamilton revealed he previously had to turn down a small cameo role as a fighter pilot in Top Gun: Maverick due to scheduling conflicts with the Formula 1 calendar.
