Standout MVP and Cy Young Candidates
Crow-Armstrong dominated the National League MVP discussion through a multi-faceted campaign. Offensively, he entered the 40/40 club by hitting 45 home runs and stealing 41 bases, alongside 107 RBI and a league-leading 119 runs scored. According to Statcast, he also anchored his case defensively by pacing the league with 26 outs above average, 23 runs prevented, and catching 50 percent of his 5-star catch opportunities.
In the American League, Alvarez powered the Houston Astros toward the postseason with a dominant offensive display. He led the circuit in batting average at .316, on-base percentage at .432, slugging percentage at .601, OPS at 1.033, total bases at 341, and walks at 109, while adding 42 home runs and 106 RBI to his stellar season.
Meanwhile, Misiorowski bolstered his resume by guiding the Milwaukee Brewers to a World Series title as their pitching ace. Entering the season with only 66 career innings pitched, he positioned himself as a frontrunner for the National League Cy Young by leading the league with a 1.80 ERA, a 0.80 WHIP, and 252 strikeouts.
Major League Baseball will announce the final award winners over consecutive days in November, starting with the Rookie of the Year awards on Nov. 9.
