Week 9 Fantasy Waiver Wire Sleepers: Dylan Sampson

The Cleveland Browns placed quarterback Deshaun Watson in the concussion protocol ahead of their upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints. While this update may negatively impact most offensive players in Cleveland, it could create a strong opportunity for receiving back Dylan Sampson.

Dylan Sampson Outlook for Week 9

Assuming offensive coordinator Todd Monken designs a game plan to give Shedeur Sanders easy completions early on, Sampson will likely see a heavy workload. Sampson has maintained a productive role since returning from an injury earlier in the season, drawing 11 targets over the course of the last two weeks.

During that span, Sampson secured all 11 of those targets and added 52 rushing yards. He has posted double-digit fantasy points in both of his outings this year and enters this week in New Orleans with a strong opportunity to continue that streak.

Defensively, the Saints have allowed more fantasy points to opposing receivers than any other team through the first eight weeks of the season. Sampson is currently available on the waiver wire, rostered in 22 percent of leagues.
