Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy’s YouTube golf series has captured the attention of the online golf community over recent weeks, with the competition narrowing down to 32 players for the third episode. The $4 million tournament combines professional golfers like Ryan Ruffels and Wesley Bryan with popular internet personalities.
Tournament Format and Previous Action
The collaboration between Portnoy, Fore Play Golf, and Bob Does Sports delivered dramatic moments, highlighted by a two-hole playoff ending Episode 2. Big John secured a victory by sinking a walk-off putt that eliminated Peter Finch’s team and generated widespread social media attention.
The tournament takes place at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri. Following a match-play component that featured a skins-game format in 2025, fans anticipate the integration of skins in Episode 3, which attaches extra prize money to individual holes.
Notable early eliminations include last season’s champions Brad Dalke and Francis Ellis, alongside comedian Andrew Santino and “Dude Perfect” star Tyler Toney.

The first two episodes generated over 16 million combined views. The remaining 32 competitors feature prominent names such as Super Bowl champion Jon Gruden, UFC title holder Justin Gaethje, Paige Spiranac, Grant Horvat, and other digital personalities and professional golfers.
