Lazio capitalized on Inter’s recent slip-up by securing a 2-1 comeback victory over Cagliari to move three points clear at the summit of Serie A.

Serie A Action

AC Milan’s victory against Inter Milan provided Lazio with an opportunity to seize early control in the Scudetto race, though they initially fell behind when M’Bala Nzola scrambled in an opening goal for the Sardinians. Gustav Isaksen leveled the score for Lazio with a curling strike, and Andrea Pinamonti secured the turnaround late in the match with a close-range header before Cagliari’s Adam Obert received a red card in stoppage time.

Juventus rebounded from their defeat against Genoa by defeating Napoli 2-0. Kerim Alajbegovic opened the scoring in the 70th minute with a long-range shot that deflected in off the post, shortly before Napoli’s Luca Marianucci was sent off following a second yellow card. Jeremie Boga sealed the victory for Juventus with another curling effort into the bottom-right corner.

Fourth-placed Como secured their fourth consecutive win by defeating bottom-placed Venezia 1-0 courtesy of a penalty from Lucas Da Cunha. Frosinone continued their strong start to the campaign with a 2-0 win over Torino, and Genoa registered their third successive victory by beating Lecce 2-1.

LaLiga Highlights

Real Madrid closed the gap on LaLiga leaders Barcelona to three points with a 3-0 win at Racing Santander, but the standout fixture in the Spanish top flight was the Basque derby won by Athletic Bilbao.

Athletic Bilbao opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Inaki Williams connected with a lofted pass from his brother Nico Williams and chipped a finish over Alex Remiro. Real Sociedad equalized through Luka Sucic, who fired a shot into the bottom-right corner from the edge of the penalty area.

Athletic regained the lead from the penalty spot after Nico Williams was fouled by Jon Aramburu. Alex Berenguer converted the spot-kick, with his shot sneaking under Remiro. Despite Inaki Williams missing opportunities to extend the lead, Athletic held on for a 2-1 triumph.

Elsewhere, second-bottom Valencia secured a vital 1-0 away victory against Elche thanks to a goal from Umar Sadiq. Getafe climbed out of the relegation zone with a 3-1 win over Sevilla, who finished the match with 10 players.

Ligue 1 and Bundesliga Results

Lyon moved into third place in Ligue 1 after a 2-0 victory against Angers. Ernest Nuamah broke the deadlock in the 38th minute following a defensive clearance error, and Corentin Tolisso scored with a late header to place Lyon within three points of league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Marseille extended their winning run to four matches by defeating Toulouse 2-0, while Monaco endured a fourth consecutive league match without a victory following a 3-1 loss to Paris FC. Lassine Sinayoko scored two goals in the first half and assisted Pablo Pagis, rendering Folarin Balogun’s goal a mere consolation and lifting Paris FC alongside Lyon within three points of PSG. Strasbourg also defeated 10-man Auxerre 5-1.

In the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt recorded a 3-1 win over Hamburg to claim their second victory in three matches, while Union Berlin and Cologne played out a 1-1 draw.
