Rapper and entertainment mogul Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium, CBS Sports reported. Through his company Roc Nation, Jay-Z has partnered with the NFL to produce the halftime event since 2019, giving him a central role in selecting the featured performers.
While the teams competing in the championship game will not be determined until late January 2027, attention has already turned to which special guests might join Jay-Z on stage. Although no surprise performers have been formally announced, several artists stand out as logical possibilities based on past collaborations and performance history.
Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter
Beyoncé tops the list of prospective guests. The superstar singer married Jay-Z in 2018, and the couple shares three children. They have collaborated on numerous hit songs, including “’03 Bonnie and Clyde,” “Crazy in Love,” “Drunk in Love,” “Part II (On the Run),” “Deja Vu,” and “Lift Off,” and have extensive experience sharing the stage on joint tours.
Beyoncé also brings a long history with the NFL, having headlined the 2013 halftime show, performed alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars in 2016, and sung the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2001. She also performed during a Christmas Day halftime show in Houston in 2024.
Her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, is another potential guest. Blue Ivy performed as a dancer during Beyoncé’s 2024 Christmas show and the Cowboy Carter tour. She frequently accompanies Jay-Z to NFL games, opening up the possibility of a family performance during the broadcast.
Rihanna and Eminem
Rihanna is another strong candidate due to her longstanding professional relationship with Jay-Z. In 2005, Jay-Z signed Rihanna after her audition for him at Def Jam Records, and she later joined Roc Nation in 2010. The duo has collaborated on hit songs including “Umbrella,” “Run This Town,” and “FourFiveSeconds.” Rihanna, who recently made a surprise appearance at Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium tour stop, previously headlined the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
Eminem could also reunite with Jay-Z on stage after joining him during his current tour. The two rappers previously recorded the track “Renegade” for Jay-Z’s album The Blueprint. Like the other potential guests, Eminem brings prior experience to the stage, having performed as part of the multi-artist hip-hop lineup at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.
