Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to lead Al-Nassr to a 5-3 victory over Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League, bringing his total career goals to 985.
Match Performance and Milestone Goals
The match was tied at 2-2 after earlier goals from Angelo Gabriel and Sadio Mane for Al-Nassr. Ronaldo then claimed the victory for his club by netting three times during a 15-minute span in the second half.
His Portugal national team colleague Joao Felix provided four assists in the match, setting up two of Ronaldo’s goals. This achievement marked the 67th hat-trick of the 41-year-old player’s career as he advances toward his next major milestone.
Throughout his career, Ronaldo has accumulated hat-tricks across multiple teams, scoring 44 for Real Madrid, 10 for Portugal, seven for Al-Nassr, and three each for Manchester United and Juventus.
Career Background and Current Standings
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has secured league titles in England, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia, while also holding the record as the all-time leading goalscorer in men’s international football.
Ronaldo has played for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr for nearly four years and has one season left on his current contract. Earlier in August, he suggested that this period might mark his final year as an active player.
Al-Nassr currently holds second place in the Saudi Pro League standings as defending champions, holding a game in hand over the league leaders, Al-Qadsiah.
