American tennis star Coco Gauff is well known for her enthusiasm for Halloween and has entertained fans with her creative costumes over the years. The 22-year-old continued the tradition by transforming into Grammy Award-winning rapper Future for her latest costume reveal.

Costume Transformation

Gauff used Future’s hit song “Low Life” as the soundtrack for her transformation video, which shows her falling asleep and waking up as a heavily accessorized version of the rapper. She appeared fierce in an all-black outfit paired with sunglasses to mimic the artist, who is nearly twice her age. Gauff later published a second video featuring another of the rapper’s tracks, “Mark My Words.”

Tennis Stars Embrace Music Icons

Gauff is the third prominent tennis player to select a musician as a costume inspiration for the holiday. Caroline Wozniacki initiated the trend when she and her husband, David Lee, dressed up as pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. Genie Bouchard followed with a recreation of Britney Spears’ memorable look from the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.

Preparation for the WTA Finals

Gauff has made limited tournament appearances since reaching the semifinals at the US Open. She competed at the China Open in late September, where she reached the Round of 16. She has spent the subsequent weeks training for the WTA Finals in Indian Wells, which is scheduled to begin on Nov. 8. This marks the fifth straight year she has qualified for the tournament, having previously won the event in 2024.
