Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert answered a fan who criticized his three-point shooting on social media following a 127-125 overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
Gobert’s Social Media Reply
A supporter published a video online instructing Gobert to avoid shooting any more three-pointers for the duration of his career with Minnesota. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year responded directly in the comments section by writing, “What you gonna do about it?”
During the defeat against Cleveland, Gobert tried two three-point shots and missed both. While he secured 20 rebounds during the matchup, he finished with only five points after failing to make any of his nine field goal attempts from the floor.
Career Shooting Profile
Throughout his 14 seasons in the league, the 34-year-old has taken 24 three-point attempts without making a single one. His scoring output typically relies on dunks and layups, while his career free-throw percentage stands at 63.3 percent.
Despite his struggles from long distance, Gobert appears intent on pursuing a wider shooting range as the Timberwolves aim to secure a sixth straight trip to the postseason.
