Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided injury updates on Monday concerning wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw. Both players sustained ankle injuries during Sunday’s victory against the Green Bay Packers.
Injury Recovery and Practice Plans
Campbell expressed optimism that both St. Brown and Rakestraw will be available for the upcoming home matchup against the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday. However, the team will manage their workload during practice to ensure they recover properly.
“I think those guys will probably sit Wednesday,” Campbell said. “The plan is to get them going Thursday and I think they’ll be fine. They should be good, we’ll see when we get there.”
Performance Against the Packers
During Sunday’s game, St. Brown contributed significantly on offense by hauling in nine catches for 153 yards while participating in 78 percent of the offensive snaps. Rakestraw saw limited action, playing 21 snaps and finishing the contest with two tackles.
